ISUZU VIETNAM 2ND DRIVER SKILL CONTEST: TAKUMI – MASTER OF DRIVERS

On March 28, 2026, at My Dinh National Stadium (Hanoi), ISUZU Vietnam Co., Ltd. (ISUZU Vietnam) successfully organized the 2nd Driver Skills Contest. Under the theme “Takumi – Master of Driver,” the event not only honored professional drivers but also promoted safe and fuel-efficient driving practices within the transportation community.

This year’s competition brought together 28 teams with 56 professional drivers from leading transport companies nationwide. Participants competed in challenges designed to simulate real-life scenarios, assessing vehicle control, operational precision, and safe, efficient driving skills – key factors in today’s transportation industry. The program continued to receive strong support from partners such as Bridgestone, JX Nippon Oil, Petrolimex, and Vietmap.

During the opening speech, Mr. Wataru Nakano – General Director of ISUZU Vietnam, stated: “As fuel costs continue to rise, both fuel-efficient vehicles and highly skilled drivers are more important than ever.”

Also speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Huu Minh – Chief of Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee, emphasized: “Today’s event is not only a contest, but also a meaningful occasion to honor professional drivers, those who make quiet but important contributions to the development of our country.”

The contest featured challenges designed to simulate real-world driving scenarios, providing a comprehensive assessment of participants’ skills – from safety inspections and maneuvering in confined spaces to handling unexpected situations. The entire process was evaluated by an experienced panel of experts, ensuring fairness and objectivity.

 

After an intense and exciting day of competition, the event concluded successfully with the following results:
